Getting started! JTP Working Groups: scope and engagement

The Just Transition Platform (JTP) manages four dedicated Working Groups for carbon-intensive regions. Launched in November 2021, these groups bring together all stakeholders from across Europe, with a common concern for the people and places affected by the transition to a climate-neutral economy.

This session will highlight the role of the JTP Working Groups in addressing the knowledge gap on just transition challenges in regions heavily dependent on carbon-intensive industries (such as steel, cement or chemicals) and the importance of stakeholder engagement in the transition process. It will be an opportunity for its members to present the progress made so far in discussing the focus areas of the transition process in these sectors and the relevance of their work for the larger JTP community.
