ISEA, a major event on the global electronic art scene, aims to strengthen the dialogue between artists, researchers, engineers, designers and entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries who participate in the advances of research and creation. This multidisciplinary event is open to both specialists and the general public.The 28th edition of ISEA2023, co-organised by Le Cube Garges and the École des Arts Décoratifs, will take place in Paris at the Forum des images from 16 to 21 May 2023, as well as through an artistic programme spread over 80 partner cultural venues throughout France in spring-summer 2023.Following an international call for entries, more than 1400 applications from 70 countries were examined by an artistic and scientific committee of 200 international experts. The theme of this edition is SYMBIOSIS. In this time of global health, ecological, economic and democratic crisis, symbiosis is a polysemous notion that allows us to explore in a transversal and interdisciplinary way the mutations and transformations underway in the digital age, to question the meaning supposedly given to progress, especially in the current environmental and health context, and to imagine possible and viable futures for our planet and our ecosystems.__________ISEA, événement majeur de la scène mondiale de la création numérique, vise à renforcer le dialogue entre artistes, chercheurs, ingénieurs, designers, entrepreneurs des industries culturelles et créatives qui participent aux avancées de la recherche-création. Cette manifestation multidisciplinaire est ouverte autant aux spécialistes qu’à un large public. La 28ème édition d’ISEA2023, co-organisée par Le Cube Garges et l’École des Arts Décoratifs se déroulera à Paris au Forum des images du 16 au 21 mai 2023 ainsi qu’au travers une programmation artistique répartie dans une cinquantaine de lieux culturels partenaires sur toute la France au printemps-été 2023.À la suite d’un appel international, plus de 1400 candidatures issues de 70 pays ont été examinées par un comité artistique et scientifique de 200 expert·e·s internationaux. Le thème de cette édition est Symbiosis. En ce temps de crise globale à la fois sanitaire, écologique, économique et démocratique, la symbiose est une notion polysémique permettant d’explorer de façon transversale et interdisciplinaire les mutations et transformations en cours à l’ère du numérique, d’interroger le sens supposé donné au progrès, surtout dans le contexte environnemental et sanitaire actuel et d’imaginer des futurs possibles et viables pour notre planète et nos écosystèmes.
