Information
After JUPITER in Germany (Forschungszentrum Jülich), EuroHPC associated with the Jules Verne consortium (France, The Netherlands and Greece) led by GENCI is about to deploy in France its second Exascale system called Alice Recoque end of 2026 at TGCC (CEA).
Procured to BULL, incorporating an unprecedented level of European technologies, this supercomputer will be based on the next XH3500 platform supporting both a unified partition (based on AMD Venice CPUs and MI430x GPUs) supporting scalar and accelerated (HPC/AI) workloads and a scalar partition powered by SiPEARL Rhea2 processors. Compute partitions will be federated by a BULL BXI v3 400 Gbs Ethernet hight speed network and will access a data centric storage environment.
In a post Exascale vision Alice Recoque will provide access to research communities from academia and industry as well as public services and large scale instruments. It will address societal and industrial challenges in climate, energy, health/medecine, foundation and frontier AI models or decision making using urgent computing through the convergence of HPC, HPDA, AI and hybrid quantum computing.
Alice Recoque will be also instrumental in the acceleration of the adoption of AI in Europe within AI Factory France and the link with upcoming AI GigaFactories in Europe.
