Information
Boston, a company steeped in a long history of HPC, going back over 30 years, is heavily invested in heterogenous compute. We believe that all things HPC, AI, and quantum are converging. Data centres are already using a mix of hardware types, and the ratio of them in a datacentre is evolving continuously to meet the computational demands of our customers. This discussion is centred around the convergence of these pieces and how they are part of the evolution of this technology in datacentres today.
Existing HPC technologies like Infiniband networking and the new focus on heterogeneous 'Superchips' and ARM based technologies are key to enabling the required efficiencies in AI.
Furthermore, Boston will also discuss how quantum is already coming in to play, and demonstrate quantum AI in action, and the part it could play in LLMs in the long term. In this space there is a massive potential to save on time, energy, resources, and speed up the entire AI process. With Boston, and it’s associated partners we can help you navigate this evolution, with the skills, training, education and the hardware in our labs (including quantum!) for you to try for yourself and join us on this exciting journey together.
HPC Solutions Forum Questions
Are technologies and configurations for AI and HPC converging or diverging? Is it possible to serve both adequately and efficiently in the same environment? What can be done to make HPC and AI more efficient? Are LLMs a game changer that will be widely adopted, or will they remain the province of a few very large or specialized companies?
