Status Report from Japan: Fugaku, HPCI, and the Next Generation

The flagship Tier-1 Japanese supercomputer 'Fugaku' has entered its second year of operations, and the Tier-2 HPCI machines are steadily being upgraded. They all designed to cater to modern HPC workloads that is an amalgamation of traditional first principle simulations, big data instrumentation, and large scale AI. The talk will introduce the latest status of the overall HPCI infrastructure, as well as future directions after Fugaku.
