Status Report from South Korea

I will explains recent investment trends in Korea's supercomputing sector. KISTI is also preparing the next supercomputer with the aim of installing it in the second half of 2023. In addition, as artificial intelligence and machine learning are attracting attention, investment in the private sector is increasing rapidly. I will also explain the 10-year plan to invest in expanding HPC infrastructure, expanding application research, and developing its own supercomputer announced by the Korean government in 2021.
