Panel Discussion: Digital Twins for Carbon Reporting

All organizations around the world will need to become carbon neutral if the climate goals of the Paris agreement are to be met. Becoming carbon neutral can be achieved in 2 ways: Either reduce (or even better eliminate) carbon emissions or offset unavoidable emissions by purchasing carbon credits. To understand exactly how many carbon credits must be purchased to become carbon neutral (a.k.a. “net zero”), the carbon emissions produced by an organization must first be measured and then reported. In this session we will explore the use of Digital Twins for such measuring and reporting and present the Carbon Removal Digital Twin Consortium value innovation program project with panel representation from industry, academia and government.
