Morrison Construction was established in Tain, just north of Inverness shortly after the Second World War. The business remained in the hands of the Morrison family until 2004, when it was sold to Galliford Try. With that acquisition the Galliford Try group became a major player in both the building and infrastructure sectors across the UK.
