Element Zero

Element Zero is developing zero-emission technology to produce green metals from iron ore and other ores. Its patented electroreduction process converts metal ores into high-purity metal using electricity instead of coal or gas, with no direct CO₂ emissions.

Initially focused on green iron, Element Zero’s technology is designed to operate at low temperatures, use 30–40% less processing energy than traditional methods, and work with intermittent renewable energy. Headquartered in Australia, the company is operating a continuous trial plant for its green iron technology and is progressing towards commercial deployment to support the decarbonisation of steelmaking and heavy industry.
