The SharedWork program is a trusted government business-friendly program serving employers since 1983. Bounce back with SharedWork! There is no cost to complete the employer application process to obtain an approved one-year plan. The program serves to protect the business by providing a flexible safety net when an economic hiccup/disruption occurs. With an approved plan in advance employers save time, money and gain peace of mind. When needed, the business reduces the employees hours to leverage their unemployment insurance account, saves payroll and retains its workers. Employer experience rates apply when employees hours are reduced and workers draw unemployment insurance.

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit program is a tax incentive opportunity that rewards employers for hiring certain job seekers that help them become self-sufficient. It provides employers a tax credit up to $9,600 per qualifying new employee during the first year of employment. Timely filing is required. To apply, the employer must submit IRS Form 8850 and ETA Form 9061 within 28 calendar days of the employee's start date.
