Information

Moata Carbon Portal is our carbon monitoring solution for the built environment, enabling a net zero future. The Moata Carbon Portal is a solution for calculating and reducing embodied carbon in new assets. It enables designers and engineers to quickly identify carbon hotspots in a project, facilitating low carbon design. Built on the infrastructure industry’s most comprehensive carbon database, it offers direct integration with BIM software and Bill of Quantities (BoQ), enabling the carbon impact of designs to be integrated within existing processes and visualised as changes are made. With the ability to offer access to individuals, teams, or company-wide, the Moata Carbon Portal can match the needs you have to track, record and reduce the embodied carbon emissions of your projects. Functions Quantifies the carbon footprint of projects in a time-efficient manner. Calculates carbon of BIM-designed assets in real-time. Includes an intuitive interface with a variety of data visualisations on calculation inputs. Features 30,000+ data rich, quality assured assets, with region and sector specific datasets – particularly in the water, transport and energy sectors. Ability to upload bespoke emission factors to create libraries to match exact specifications. PAS 2080 compliance (the infrastructure industry’s first international carbon management standard). BIM and Bill of Quantities integration, with BIM Plug-ins for Revit and Civil 3D offered currently. Ability for users to define privacy settings of designs and transfer ownership to others. Benefits Efficiency Up to 90% faster carbon calculations vs. manual methods. Rapidly assess hotspots in the design stage, facilitating optioneering to reduce carbon. Start calculating from the get-go with full access within weeks. Environmental impact and risk management
