NepTech designs zero-emission, high-performance and intelligent hydrogen-powered passenger and cargo vessels. The 12 to 24m electro-hydrogen powered catamarans can carry up to 170 passengers or 20 tons of cargo.

NepTech range of product is composed of 4 vessels, each designed for a specific use. A common frame includes the hulls and hydrofoils and the propulsion system. The above-water parts are adapted to the specificities of the targeted markets.

Integrating a hydrogen propulsion system is a major technological challenge. Indeed, for the same power, a hydrogen system is 3 to 4 times heavier than a diesel system. Additional weight on a vessel leads to higher energy consumption and therefore a degradation of operational performance in terms of range and speed. This degradation of performance is not acceptable for users or operators who wish to maintain their economic model in terms of rotation / number of passengers transported.

NepTech’s breakthrough technologies provide an appropriate response by reducing the energy needs – by up to 35% - of ships to enable zero-emission vessels to go faster and further. Within a few years, NepTech vessels will certainly replace all legacy - diesel powered - ships intended for daily mobility or touristic use in smart cities, a market that will reach more than 500 boats per year by 2025.
