iMSL - Intelligent Material Systems Lab

The professorship for intelligent material systems (IMSL) concentrates on the development of mechatronic systems based on „smart materials“. It is part oft he specialised area systems engineering,, materials science and materials technology. It was founded as professorship for unconventional actuators in 2011- motivated by research activities promotes by Prof. H. Janochas in order to expand engineer science at the university of Saarbrücken. In 2015 it became the current name.
