Addressing the gender gap in cybersecurity
About Calister Apollonary Simba's project:
CYBERDADA TZ is a cyber-hub founded in April 2020 aiming at upskilling, promoting digital safety awareness, and fostering young girls in Tanzania from the age of 9 to 30 (primary schools to early career females) with passion and interest in technology and digital security fields.
The reason Calister Apollonary Simba is passionate about her project:
it will create a platform/stage that offers a voice to young girls/women in technology and digital security where they can liberate themselves by showcasing Technology skills and innovations. I love it because it gives me opportunity to work with amazing girls, am able to assist them, observe grow and keep on loving technology and cybersecurity field. It gives me motivation to innovate and share my skills which in turn create a gender diversity in technology and digital skills world. I'm passionate about it because I want other girls to find a home in technology and digital security just like I did.
