For medical lab professionals working behind the scenes during the pandemic, #resilience is a critical key to success. The resilience these professionals build through their education and on-the-job training allows them to meet critical needs when emergencies and crises strike, from natural disasters and mass shootings to disease outbreaks.

The Center was awarded funding from the 87th Texas Legislature to create a research center of excellence focused on Community Health and Economic Resiliency Research (CHERR).
