IGS delivers platforms that create ideal climates for plants to thrive. Using Total Control Environment Agriculture, we precisely manage each element of the growth cycle and all environmental inputs. Our system determines optimal recipes of weather – light, water and ventilation – as well as applying nutrition. Data is collected continuously and monitored through a web-based app.
"IGS was founded in 2013 by a farmer and an engineer. Together, they understood the challenges facing traditional farming and how to manage automation and power controls in an industrial environment.
Our technology uses Total Control Environment Agriculture (TCEA) to manage each growth cycle element and all environmental inputs. Crops are grown in Growth Trays with Lights (GTLs), which are stacked vertically inside Growth Towers. Each GTL can form its own microclimate, allowing growers to produce a variety of different crops within a single tower.
IGS’ innovative approach has sustainability and environmental consideration at its core. The goal is to reduce the amount of energy required, providing economic and productivity benefits by reducing power and labour costs whilst growing consistently high-quality produce to demand at the point of consumption."
