Valio base powders are ideal solutions for milk-based infant formulas and a wide range of other baby foods, like milk-based cereals. They are produced from fresh Finnish milk produced by Valio's farms and fresh whey from Valio’s own facilities. Finnish soil, natural spring water and air are among the world’s cleanest. This clean and pure environment is the basis for the high quality of our base powders.
Production of our base powders takes place in a state-of-the art facility designed to the highest hygiene standards. Powders are fully traceable to origin, non-GMO (Regulation EC No 1829/2003) and subject to Valio’s strict quality controls. Fresh ingredients result in natural good taste and special attention is given to powders’ easy dissolving into liquid.
Valio can offer base powders from basic blends to complete formulas that can be customized and tailored to meet customer’s specifications. Valio specifications are available for stages 1-3, for EU and China. Products are packed in 20 kg modified atmosphere; big bags are also available.
Valio has extensive expertise in documentation and transportation and all products are safe and fully traceable right back to the farms of origin. Valio holds the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Certificate, as well as the FSSC2200 Certificate.
