With Stamisol, Swiss manufacturer Serge Ferrari AG is offering a wide range of premium façade breather membranes, also in coloured versions, for a high grade of freedom in façade design. They are supporting superior design concepts for perforated façade cladding with up to 70% open areas, or even behind translucent or satinised glass façades.

At the round-table discussion of AJ Fire Safety Design Congress during lunch time we will discuss with fire safety experts, architects and editor Robert Wilson: Doing the right thing - What‘s important for fire safety when specifying materials in façades.
We hope, that this round-table will open up a vivid debate on fire safety at facades vs. the race to the bottom on price, competence, compliance and how important it is, to check certificates of manufacturers to be sure for your project.

How to achieve external wall systems completely in Euroclass A2
Façade membranes within a high-rise or high-risk building mostly cover a huge area of the building envelope and therefore have a high risk potential within the fire safety concept. Addressing the issue of breather membranes should therefore form part of any overall façade fire strategy.
With Stamisol Safe One, Serge Ferrari presented the first façade breather membrane behind cladding in Euroclass A2,s1-d0, a glass fibre fabric with elastomer coating. Now it’s possible to achieve maximum fire safety Euroclass A2 for the complete external wall system with closed or opened claddings. This especially for high-rise buildings, high-risk buildings (hospitals, care homes, rehab centres, educational buildings) and re-cladding programs of high-rise buildings.
