Information

The economy in Latin American countries faces significant challenges that affect economic and social development. One of these challenges is holding a formal bank account and making money deposits in financial institutions. Our general hypothesis is based on the following statement: “Healthy economic growth in LATAM countries can be achieved as the gender gap is closer in financial services access”. To find the relationship we answer the following questions: How is the relationship between gender gap and financing services access?; How much gender gap predict financial services access? and as a consequence, does It predict economic growth? The objective of our research is to analyze the relationship between the gender gap and private credit in LATAM countries and the interaction between financial access and economic growth. The findings can contribute to determining how policymakers and financial inclusion programs, using Technology, can help LATAM women in the same way as men.
