For more than 35 years, the Business Unit Inspection of the FOERSTER Group - formerly known as Magnetische Pruefanlagen GmbH - has been the technology leader in the field of reformer tube testing in ammonia, methanol, hydrogen, DRI and HYL plants. The proprietary LEO-Scan technology makes it possible to check reformer tubes that are exposed to high pressures and temperatures for damage. These test results are used to define preventive maintenance intervals in order to increase the service life, but at the same time to prevent unplanned system outages. The merger of Magnetische Pruefanlagen GmbH with Institut Dr. Foerster GmbH & Co. KG, created further synergies and the sales network available worldwide was expanded. In addition to the acquisition of the most important partner, USTT in America, the FOERSTER Group took also over the Syngas group of Quest Integrity with their Lotis & Mantis systems. Their existing customers will now have the option of accessing FOERSTER systems for testing reformer tubes and components in the future and will benefit from extended monitoring of early failure patterns in their reformer tubes.
