Project Pitch
YARIS MARWIP – Integrated Maritime Surveillance for the Gulf of Guinea The YARIS MARWIP project aims to deploy a next-generation maritime surveillance service across the Gulf of Guinea, combining satellite data, AI-powered maritime intelligence, drone monitoring, and the existing YARIS digital platform already used by maritime coordination centers in the region.
YARIS currently operates in the national and multinational coordination centers of the 19 countries of the Yaoundé Architecture, providing a unique operational backbone for maritime information sharing. Building on this existing infrastructure, MARWIP will add advanced capabilities including long-range drone surveillance, automated risk detection from AIS and satellite data, and real-time operational dashboards for governments and private operators.
The project is seeking €10 million in investment to deploy surveillance assets, develop enhanced analytics, and establish a regional maritime intelligence service covering key maritime corridors and offshore energy zones.
MARWIP will provide subscription-based security services to ports, shipping companies, offshore oil and gas operators, insurers, and governments. By reducing piracy risks, illegal fishing, smuggling, and environmental incidents, the platform generates measurable economic value while lowering security costs for private operators.
With YARIS already embedded in regional maritime operations, MARWIP offers a unique market entry advantage and the potential to generate €15–30 million in annual recurring revenue, positioning it as the leading maritime security intelligence platform in the Gulf of Guinea.
