Wave 2 the Future
With the Wave 2 the future project Fincantieri is among the 35 European companies participating in the first IPCEI on hydrogen, aiming at creating a new hydrogen ecosystem that, starting with green hydrogen production technology, involves all sectors, from transport, distribution, deployment technology, to end-user involvement in market creation.
With this project Fincantieri wants to mark a new frontier in innovation and environmental transition, and it’s making this possible by studying the marinization of various power generation systems employing hydrogen and proving their integration onboard large cruise ships. To do that, Fincantieri is working in concert with its Merchant Ships Business Unit (DMC), its Mechanical Systems and Components Business Unit (DSC) and its subsidiary Isotta Fraschini Motori.
