Reoptimising the FCCU for OPEX savings using new FCC additive technology

• In times of challenging margins, refiners must find new ways to gain savings. • Most FCCUs use CO promoter which contain platinum or palladium, consuming a sizable portion of catalyst budgets. • Previously an area of little development, Unicat / G.W. Aru, LLC have commercialised FCC additive technology that fundamentally reduces cost. Case study data is presented.
