Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation is a leading developer of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and associated nuclear fuels. The company is staffed by leading experts in engineering, fuel design, product management, stakeholder engagement and licensing, with decades of experience executing power projects in more than 20 countries. Ultra Safe Nuclear has designed and developed the MMR®– a “micro” SMR nuclear energy system to deliver safe, clean, cost-effective power and heat to off-grid applications such as mines and remote communities. A single MMR unit produces 15MW of thermal power (or 5MW electrical). Multiple MMR units can be linked together to provide as much power as needed, meeting end-user needs.
Ultra Safe Nuclear is an equal partner in Global First Power, a joint venture established with Ontario Power Generation to build, own, and operate the MMR commercial demonstration plant at Chalk River Laboratories in Ontario; the first and only SMR project in Canada to be in formal licensing.
The company’s Canadian operations are headquartered in Ottawa, with its corporate head office in Seattle, USA, and satellite offices in South Africa, Europe/UK and South Korea.
