Danfoss supports the maritime business by providing best in class AC drives in all sizes to optimize electric power generation - electric propulsion – hybridization – power conversion and in addition standard frequency converters for all kinds of on board applications.
With the specific software and filter combination you can use the same drive hardware for these applications up to 6 MW power Low Voltage and up to 12 MW Medium Voltage.
For instance, for power conversion – hybridization we provide the so-called DC-DC converters to charge and discharge batteries and to convert a varying battery voltage into a stable DC voltage or vice versa.
