Herbarom implements an oily maceration that relates to the traditional perfumery technique of enfleurage: plants are immersed in a tank filled with sunflower oil or olive oil, which will gradually be infused with their active ingredients.
Because they are extracted away from light and at room temperature, liposoluble components still have maximum activity. After optimal maceration time, the macerate is simply filtered and protected by antioxidants, then packaged with nitrogen. This process guarantees the macerated oil stability and protects its properties over time.
