Study of the container/content transfers
Products
Information
Innovative methods have been developed by high field NMR spectroscopy (500 MHz) to study the transfer between a packaging and its content. The aim is to have an exhaustive mapping of the compounds present in the product including potential exogenous contaminants.
The interest of using NMR is to give a really identity card of the sample without having prior information on its content. Combined with a biochemical and metabolic expertise, this method is applied to industrial needs.
Different tools are already used to characterize and quantitate contaminants like phthalates, bisphenol A and others… Nevertheless, none has the potential to detect, characterize and quantitate contaminants without having a prior idea of their nature. It’s the added value of NMR spectroscopic technologies. We can detect all kinds of transfer.
