Online business has become more and more transactional, eliminating brand loyalty, especially for retailers who sell third party products. Consumers now think in terms of cheapest price, often at the expense of meeting their own requirements properly. They will surf rapidly across multiple websites looking at headline prices. This lack of interaction also makes it hard for a brand to understand why a purchase was made, or even who the actually consumer was.
