Sure, we all understand the hype ChatGPT has unleashed around GenAI. But how much of this is true for the advertising industry? Doesn’t it all sound awfully familiar to 2016’s AI hype, triggered by AlphaGo and the fact that humans were losing out to AI in more and more disciplines? After that, the AI hype fell asleep again.
