SENIOR TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER (JAVA)

At this stage, we are going to build new engagement between companies from scratch, onboard into customer’s products, and grow the team internally in SoftServe. YOU ARE A holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and the following expertise 5+ years as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) A minimum of 5 years in developing automation frameworks in Java (must-have), C#/C++, Python, and SQL At least 3 years in JMeter/Postman related tools for performance and API testing Writing complex SQL queries with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, etc. (3+ years) Building frameworks like BDD, Hybrid frameworks using Cucumber/Selenium Effective articulation of technical challenges and solutions Agile or Scrum software development methodologies Excellent communication, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills YOU WANT TO WORK WITH Creating detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase of the project to ensure replicability and compliance with standards Software developers closely to ensure features/products achieve desired level of quality Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts Identifying and implementing improvements to test automation framework and CI/CD pipelines Taking initiative and driving the implementation of a QA materials repository (repo of test cases, test steps) Product team to organize and facilitate QA sessions, UAT, and production smoke-tests Participating in Scrum meetings and ensuring creation of proper documentation TOGETHER WE WILL Deliver quality products by thoroughly testing throughout all phases of the development life cycle using a combination of testing methods (functional testing, regression/integration testing, performance testing) Participate actively in understanding project plans and providing regular updates on milestones Enforce quality assurance processes, ensuring all technology practices adhere to best practice standards Work in a highly engaged and direct team
