Beaconsim TEAM virtual environment

Beaconsim TEAM is a virtual classroom including a virtual communication network with its radio terminals, smart phones, dispatchers, C&C, field command and data applications. Its simulated network has the real network’s functionality, fleet maps, talk groups, folders and other parameters. Beaconsim TEAM ensures learning in an environment which is realistic without risk of doing something wrong or using resources which are needed elsewhere. Beaconsim TEAM has several training modes which support training of the radio discipline for all kinds of trainees whether beginners, experienced users or even field command: 1. Individual exercises for self-learning in the classroom, either during the trainer-led training or before it. 2. Free mode usage where the trainees can communicate in the classroom as they would in real life in the real network. These exercises can be trainer led, but don’t have to be. 3. Scenario exercises where the scenario is defined in a scenario matrix and trainees follow it step by step. Virtual classroom enables trainer-led training even remotely – without travelling. It features group exercises and scenarios with group dynamics which self-learning exercises lack. During exercises the trainer is in control and can follow each individual’s progress: focus is on learning instead of training. Students’ activities can be recorded: speech items, key pressings and their timings. These form an objective base for the de-briefing session after the scenario. Trainees and trainers of Beaconsim TEAM can use their PC/laptop/tablet. No local installations are required, browser suffices. Beaconsim also known as TETRAsim, but has changed the name to Beaconsim as all other technologies are supported - not only TETRA.
