For many years, Hahnemühle has been consistently working towards finding more environmentally friendly and sustainable ways to produce paper. Hahnemühle started to use bamboo fibers, a fast-growing and sustainable raw material, in 2008 and launched the mixed media paper Bamboo, made from 90% bamboo fibers and 10% cotton rag. Hahnemühle extended the range with bamboo papers and books suitable for different painting techniques throughout the years. With the new paper innovations Agave and Hemp, Hahnemühle focuses more on resource-saving and environmentally friendly papers. Hahnemühle’ s Natural Line integrates all resource-saving papers: Agave Watercolor, Hemp Sketch, Bamboo Mixed Media, and Bamboo Sketch.
Hahnemühle Virtual Booth - HahnemuehleHahnemühle FineArt has been producing artist paper since 1584, thus being one of Germany’s oldest paper manufacturers. In addition to the manufactoring of traditional artist papers, Hahnemühle today focuses on producing refined papers for digital print. The company invented the digital Fine Art Paper made of geniune artist paper with the finest inkjet coating, haptical surfaces, structures and highest longivity in the industry. A growing part of business is the development and production of technical specialty papers and filtration papers for industry and research. The company based in Dassel, Southern Lower Saxony, has some 150 employees worldwide. Subsidiaries are located in the US, UK, France, Spain and China.
