Information
We reduce paper waste by minimising actual offcuts in production. This is achieved by using excess space on a printing plate to print our own stationery designs. Whatever offcuts that are inevitably produced are used to create by-products such as plain notepads or repurposed as loose sheets, which are sold to the public. Residual leftovers are also used to create more of our own OFFCUT branded line of stationery.
🛒
We are the first printer to open its own retail store, the ‘Paper Thrift Store’, through which OFFCUT products are introduced to the public. By interacting directly with the public, we hope to inspire them to look at waste from a new perspective - that with some imagination and creativity, you can breathe new life into it just as we have by repurposing waste paper into affordable and thoughtfully designed products, without compromising quality.
P.S Cooler Ruler, is also a product we made from leftover plastic material at our print house.

🗑️
There are always leftovers in a print set-up because papers are purchased in bulk to cater for make-ready, the fine-tuning process before the actual prints. The leftovers cannot be reused in another project as the paper hue changes over time and they are discarded every year due to the lack of usage and storage space. Every print-run will also produce offcuts as each print job is tailored and cut down to specific dimensions.
♻️
As a result of this resourcefulness, we have reduced paper waste by at least 55% in the last three months since the initiative started.
