At Prax, we build AI technology for heavy industry. ScrapChef is our flagship product for the steel industry. We autonomously optimise scrap mixes, improve buying, and stabilise yard execution to minimise tapped cost while preserving quality and furnace performance. Our AI vision models and camera hardware measure process conditions, track precise material handling events and recognise commodities and their quality. Our AI models use these datastreams to optimise material mix decisions and other downstream process decisions. The result is an integrated system that optimises end-to-end, reducing costs, and improving throughput and yield. We typically save our customers 1-5% of their costs. Our team is a mixture of elite physicists, engineers and software developers, and we deploy them on-site with our clients for the majority of their time, resulting in real solutions that generate lasting value.
