Critically acclaimed, Miro’s first album En retard sur ma vie quickly made it to the top of ICI Musique’s and Ic3y mag’s yearly rankings for best albums. Blending hip-hop, R&B, soul and pop sounds in a hooky style, this first opus – fiercely urban and codirected by Pierre-Luc Rioux (known for his work with Loud, Bruno Mars, Sia, David Guetta) – gave Miro his first nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at 2020 Gala ADISQ. In August 2020, this “authentical hitmaker” – the press’s nickname for Miro – became the first artist to ever perform on the top of Montreal’s Olympic Stadium tower, all the while bringing almost 125,000 people to watch it live.
