Confiné aux voyages - Nicolas Boulerice

Nicolas Boulerice (also a member of Le Vent du Nord) and double bassist Frédéric Samson join forces to deliver a bewitching show entitled Confiné aux voyages. This show features magnificent traditional laments and ballads accompanied by soundscapes captured in and around Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. This encounter—of a territory and a repertoire first, a voice and a double bass second—is articulated around the themes of travel, memory and love. Confined in their living room, the artists deliver travel and poetry tableaux that will allow audiences to hear the songs of Canada geese, whirlwinds and a boat engine propelling traditional folk songs in new settings. From the infinitely small to the infinitely wide, Confiné aux voyages offers a moment to listen to stories, go back in time, and project yourself into the present. This concert is drawn from the album Maison de Pierres made during the first lockdown spring.
