Information

New show Ellipse Les Grands Hurleurs are starting a promising new chapter with now four musicians on stage, including founding members Nicolas Pellerin and Simon Lepage. Discover the new show Ellipse, inspired by the band’s 5th album, to be released in the fall of 2021. This group has won the hearts of Quebec and international audiences thanks to their modernized, accessible traditional folk music. This latest outing brings a new breath to their music, more stripped-down though as wild and groovy as ever. The quartet wants to go back to its roots by daring to aim for a sound sticking closer to acoustic instruments, with neat and thoughtful arrangements, while remaining organic. With the integration of folk, classical and bluegrass influences, plus writing guest author David Goudreault, the group’s enriched trad will surprise and touch people once again! Violins, mandolin, guitar, double bass, foot-tapping and rich vocal harmonies combine to explore a multitude of emotions. Les Grands Hurleurs have won three Félix Awards in their career. Fall in love with them!
