Duo Beaudry-Prud'homme

Talented singer Simon Beaudry and virtuoso pianist Philippe Prud’homme join forces to present a concept unheard of in Quebec: an intimate recital inspired by their album Chansons en noires et blanches, where they blend traditional folk songs and classical concert music. The duo takes up the challenge of building a bridge between these two musical genres while maintaining each genre’s integrity. This piano-vocal concert features traditional folk songs with piano arrangements developed by classical composers. The duo also performs magnificent songs by singers-songrwiters (Gilles Vigneault, Jean-Claude Mirandette, Léo Ferré) as well as a few instrumental pieces drawn from the modern and contemporary repertoire. The union of these two artists, each excelling in his own field and with an illustrious worldwide career, represents a unique event for music enthusiasts and word lovers.
