An ancient architectural masterpiece becomes an exclusive place: the new Quarry Resort, combining an ethereal and timeless allure with the purity of the Porro design, opens in the heart of the Sassi di Matera.
The structure, realized inside the historical residence of Palazzo Zicari in the typical local stone, “tuff", is a succession of spaces suspended between past and present: the underground, the chapel, the five rooms, five suites, three junior suites and the lounge bar’s panoramic terrace with a view on the Archaeological Park of the Murgia Materana.
The suites, furnished in collaboration with Tendarredo, retailer of the best Made in Italy brands in Altamura, choose the delicate tones, grace and versatility of Boutique Mast, the Porro’s system with nautical lightness and graphic linearity, which allows maximum expressive freedom. Designed by Piero Lissoni + Porro Research Centre, Boutique Mast is chosen with burnished brass uprights with circular section on which it is possible to hang suspended elements, drawer units and large cantilever shelves in heat-treated elm, which easily transform it from walk-in closet to writing desk, for completely customizable solutions.
