Designed by Mauro Lipparini The sleek biomorphic shape of Buddy draws inspiration from river pebbles and the undulating softness of Henry Moore and Jean Arp’s sculptures. Its compact shape is belied by its generous appearance and it instantly conveys a sense of relaxed comfort which is further enhanced by the uncomplicated shape of the seat cushions and its large yet gentle volumes which trace out geometric curves. This project perfectly epitomises the spirit of the brand whereby form and function, aesthetic and ethics, creativity and innovation are reconciled in perfect harmony. The irregularly placed seams create a geometric interplay, elevating this design-forward item to new heights.
