Drawing inspiration from Homer’s Odyssey (Argos is Ulysses’ dog and the first to recognise him when he comes back to Ithaca after more than twenty years), Paola Navone dreamt up a collection of sofas, armchairs and chaise longues which lovingly await our return home ready to welcome us, soothe us and give us warmth. A tribute to Mediterranean culture and atmospheres which seem the perfect way to express her natural inclination for blending differences and cross-pollination - but also a tribute to a civilisation that has retained an ability to enjoy life. The soft covering swathes the generous silhouette and creates a welcoming relaxed vibe, while the two gigantic clips sink into the backrest, bringing the beauty of a sumptuously soft silhouette to the fore. An unexpected pop touch - the signature of the anti-academic designer par excellence.
The decorative martingale at the back of the sofa makes it the ideal centrepiece for a room where is it bound to play a starring role for gatherings of family and friends.
