Cookpad is a tech company building a community platform for people to share recipe ideas and cooking tips. We believe that cooking is the key to a happier and healthier life for people, communities and the planet.

The choices we make shape our world. When we cook, the choices we make have an impact on ourselves, the people we cook for, the growers and producers we buy from and the wider environment. By solving the issues related to everyday cooking and helping more people to cook, we believe we can help build a better world.  

Cookpad was founded in Japan in 1997 and sprang from the realisation that across the world we were becoming less connected to our food and our environment and that this was having all kinds of negative consequences on our individual and collective well-being. 

Our mission is to make everyday cooking fun and we are focused on creating a product that inspires and creates strong communities.   The Cookpad platform is now used by on average 100 million people every month, in 70 countries and in over 30 languages!
