Nordex Group

The development, manufacture, project management and servicing of wind turbines in the onshore segment has been the core competence and passion of the Nordex Group and its more than 8,500 employees worldwide for more than 35 years. As one of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturers, the company offers high-yield, cost-efficient wind turbines that enable long-term and economical power generation from wind energy in all geographical and climatic conditions.

The Nordex Group has been active on the Brazilian market since 2013, with its headquarters situated in the commercial capital, São Paulo. Since entering the market, the company has erected turbines with a total installed capacity of 2.3 GW, and has a further 1321 MW currently under construction. The group assembles the nacelles and produces concrete towers for its turbines locally at its own factories. The company also utilizes rotor blades manufactured locally within Brazil. This makes it possible to meet local value-creation requirements, which, in turn, offer better financing options for clients.

As the market shifts towards larger rotors with higher towers, the Nordex Group is now offering with the N163/5.X from the Delta4000 series a competitive turbine to their Brazilian customers. This turbine type features a rotor diameter of 163 metres with a swept area in excess of 20,000m² providing high sales potential.

The N163 turbines in the Delta4000 series feature different operating modes and thus offer maximum flexibility within the 5 MW range. Their operation can be optimised in line with various customer-specific requirements, such as annual yield, service life, and noise level requirements.

The Group covers the needs of all customer segments within the global wind market, from large energy suppliers, to SMEs operating power plants. With more than 37 GW of installed capacity worldwide, Nordex Group systems deliver sustainable energy throughout more than 80 per cent of the world’s energy market (excluding China).
