Information

Social entrepreneurship and Impact Investing aim to remove the barrier between traditional philanthropy, non-financial aid, and exclusively for-profit business model. In recent years, the vision of transforming great social challenges such as global warming, overpopulation, the sustainability of food resources, inequalities, or ocean pollution, into economic opportunities has driven social investment exponentially.

Nora Sarasola, Director of BBK Obra Social, and Alexandra Mitjans, Director of Ashoka Spain, share with us how their organizations have redefined this type of investment and how they can help social entrepreneurs to reach the top.

BBK's Obra Social is the largest entity in the Basque Country that is committed to innovative projects that act in areas such as education, culture, employment, and social inclusion based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Ashoka is the leading organization in social entrepreneurship, and the largest network of social entrepreneurs in the world, which identifies, connects, and accompanies world leaders of social change. Ashoka has 3,600 Social Entrepreneurs in more than 90 countries.
