Information
The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) Team has been tasked to replace the existing mobile communication systems with new digital services for all of the Ambulance Trusts in England.
At BAPCO, ARP will be delivering demonstrations of the next generation of mobilisation hardware and software that is provided through the Mobile Data and Vehicle Solution (MDVS) Programme.
Within MDVS, the National Mobilisation Application (NMA) is a software application that provides a single, universal application to dispatch and manage emergency resources via high-speed mobile data networks. The vehicle hardware project will provide all suitable hardware, with the main components being a Terrafix Vehicle Router (TVR) and Panasonic Tablet.
Not only will we be demonstrating the full MDVS solution on a breadboard, we will also showcase Infotainment Integration, where the data will be presented on the in-built vehicle screen.
• In Partnership with Ford Motor Company, we are pleased to showcase Ford’s Sync Integration Solution in action utilising the latest ARP Hardware. The Sync Integration System enables fleets to connect 3rd party equipment into the in-vehicle display via an HDMI input and USB Cable, eliminating the need for a secondary monitor or tablet mount in the cab. This removes weight, cost and time from the vehicle conversion process and greatly improves the cabin experience for Ambulance Crews and other Fleet Drivers
• We are also pleased to showcase the Opses VERTO integration box which allows the in-vehicle Infotainment screen to switch between the vehicle touchscreen, and an external input (MDVS solution). This solution will also use an HDMI and USB connection
