Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) has emerged as a very important target for osteoarthritis pain control. Currently, the most effective methods to target NGF are through monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), and active development of these therapies is ongoing in veterinary medicine. This session will describe the role of NGF in pain, and outline the effectiveness of anti-NGF mAbs for chronic pain control in dogs and cats.
