Bombardier is Australia’s only end-to-end manufacturer of trains and trams, with welding of train and tram car bodies done from the ground up using sheet metal. In Dandenong Bombardier has over 400 employees across 41 acres with 28,000 sq. m under roof. Our HQ has direct access to the rail network, 1km standard gauge LRV test track and an accredited welding school Bombardier manufactures DMUs and LRVs in Victoria with 69 and around 55 per cent local content respectively, using more than 300 local component suppliers.
