Information

COVID-19 sparked the largest education experiment in history, and with the sudden shift to remote learning impacting nine out of 10 students globally the speed to EdTech adoption became the single most important factor in determining which schools would survive and thrive and which ones would have to close their doors and, subsequently, scramble to offer a piecemealed and patchworked version of the high-quality curriculum students expected when enrolling.

Although postsecondary institutions recognize the need to embrace remote learning and explore other EdTech innovations to keep their students, faculty, and staff connected and engaged, EdTech implementation has never been a simple or clear process, and that's why the College Innovation Network (CIN) was launched in 2020. Staffed by WGU Labs' Western Governors University's (WGU) research and development hub for innovation in education CIN helps a growing network of postsecondary institutions navigate barriers to EdTech by supporting the full lifecycle of implementation and evaluation.

CIN leaders recognize that the process is the solution and have developed and implemented a set of tools and services to help member institutions meet their evolving student needs.

Join Omid Fotuhi, Director for Learning and Innovation at WGU Labs and Director of CIN, for an overview of CIN's initiatives from its first cohort including findings from a recent multi-institution student survey report that highlights disparities in EdTech self efficacy and learn more about how to get involved with CIN as a member institution or EdTech solution.

*This is an in-person session and will be available for on demand viewing.
