With conventional jet nebulizers, aerosol is being produced and released whether you’re inhaling or not – resulting in medication being lost into the environment around you rather than being delivered to your lungs. Caregivers and others nearby may inhale potentially harmful aerosolized emissions. Breath actuated AEROECLIPSE* BAN* Nebulizers only produce aerosol when you inhale. This means medication isn’t wasted when you exhale, between breaths or if you need to take a break in your treatment (for example if you need to rest or talk). Medication is conserved in the cup until you’re ready for your next inhalation. AEROECLIPSE* II BAN* Nebulizer is a single patient, 7 day disposable device for acute care. AEROECLIPSE* XL BAN* Nebulizer is a single patient, 6 month reusable device for use at home with an Ombra* compressor. Masks and filter kits are available separately. AEROECLIPSE* BAN* Nebulizers can be connected directly to the Aerobika* Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure (OPEP) device for nebulizer therapy during inhalation with mucus mobilization during exhalation.
