EHSI is a self-certified small business specializing in hazardous materials management, environmental consulting, and industrial hygiene that serves the Pacific Northwest (EPA Region 10) and federal facilities nationwide. EHSI is a recognized leader in environmental assessments and remediation, hazardous materials management, and abatement design. EHSI provides expert industrial hygiene and health and safety services, including job hazard analysis, worker health and safety plans (HASPs), Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) awareness training, and worker exposure monitoring. Specialty services include indoor air quality assessments and construction management services. Our primary market sector is public agencies, which comprise approximately 80% of all projects. We perform work either directly for the agency or for its architects, engineers, or contractors. EHSI provides hazardous materials management services, including surveys for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, mercury lamps, and other regulated materials; the design for abatement and development of bid specifications; abatement oversight, air monitoring, site clearance, and closeout; and regulatory liaison services with the Washington State Departments of Labor and Industries and Ecology (Ecology). Our environmental consulting services include all aspects of assessment and remediation from initial Transaction Screens, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, remediation design and implementation, underground storage tank (UST) closure and remediation, subsurface investigations, vapor intrusion assessments, and litigation support. Our industrial hygiene consulting services include worker exposure monitoring, indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments, HASPs, third-party monitoring and clearance testing, fume hood testing and decommissioning, moisture intrusion investigations, and indoor environmental quality testing for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria.
